JUDICIAL RASCALITY: FEDERAL HIGH COURT OVERRULES SUPREME COURT
In total disregard for the doctrine of Stare Decisis, a Federal High Court judge , Gabriel Kolawole has displayed judicial rascality by making a bizarre ruling over a matter that has been decided by the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

Justice Kolawole granted a Court Injunction restraining the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representative and two plaintiffs in a case already decided by the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

The hierarchy of court is very clear, the highest court in Nigeria is the Supreme Court and no other court has jurisdiction to entertain any suit already decided by the Supreme Court. A federal High Court Judge is not entitled to display his judicial activism on the bench. A judge should not use his powers other than justice. When a judge disregards what appears to be settled law in binding precedents, questions are bound to be asked. Suspicion brews. Corruption has eaten deep into our society. It appears the focus of the battle against corruption has always been targeted at only the Executive and the Legislature. Judges are not saints either.

Justice Kolawole therefore has case to answer to Nigeria Judicial commission for this unprecedented ruling he has made.
