A Former Minister of State for Defence under the Goodluck Jonathan administration, Musiliu
Obanikoro, will be officially defecting to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) from the
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The politician, who is a former Ambassador of Nigeria to Ghana, confirmed this to Channels TV. He
said he would be declaring his defection in Lagos, weekend.
Obanikoro has recently been seen in some APC gatherings. He is yet to state reasons for his
defection.
The present admonistration has fingered him in some corruption and electoral offences cases. He was
reported to have returned up to N100m to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
In 2015, Obanikoro lost the PDP governorship ticket to Jimi Agbaje.
