Deputy Senate President to build mini stadium in Aninri LGA

The Deputy President of Senate, Ike Ekweremadu, has said that he will build a mini Stadium for Aninri Local Government Area between now and December 2018.

Senator Ekweremadu announced this during the annual thanksgiving service organized by Aninri Local Government Area of Enugu state, where he hails from.

He also announced the completion of most of the roads projects in the area which he attracted, explaining that, they include Ndiaboh/ Mpu Road and Ishiagu /Mpu/Oduma/ Nnewe Road.

He also explained that the Local Government has come a long way from being an area where the State Government previously dumped erring officials for punishment to a place where government officials now struggle to come and work in because of the level of socio-economic infrastructure that has been attracted to the area.

The Senator assured the people that in no distant future, the water scarcity in the area will be a thing of the past, noting that already he has imported a bore hole drilling machine to help provide water to the people.

According to him, “Aninri decided to be giving praises and thanksgiving to God every year because of the love the Lord has been showing to us.The Lord has been blessing us year in, year out. Yesterday, at a Christmas party between myself and my staff one of them reminded me that back in those days, when a public official commits an offense, he was punished by been posted to Aninri. However, today people lobby to come and serve in Aninri, because they will see good roads, water and electricity.”

Ekweremadu paid glowing tributes to the state Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for all the development projects and appointments he gave to Aninri people and assured him of their continuous prayers and support.

He announced that more development projects will be attracted to the area and used the occasion to wish the people a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
