Mustapha Akanbi, pioneer chairman of ICPC, is dead

Mustapha Akanbi, pioneer chairman of Independent Corrupt Practice and other related Offences Commission (ICPC), is dead.

Akanbi died in the early hours of Sunday at a private hospital in Ilorin, Kwara state.

He died at 85 during a brief illness and has d since been buried on Sunday.

Akanbi was a former president of the court of appeal and first Wakili of Ilorin.

The GRA residence of the late jurist has begun playing host to hundreds of sympathisers who are there to pay their last respect to him.
