The Nigerian Movement for Positive Change (NMPC) is convening a national conference on the enlightenment of the Nigerian electorates in order to avail them the opportunity of choosing credible candidates as the country marches towards 2019 general election.

This was contained in a statement signed by the NMPC Secretary General, Comrade Benson Amukpo, released at the weekend.

According to statement, the event will come up on Thursday September 6, 2018 by 9.00a.m at Lagos Airport Hotel Bevents Centre, 111, Obafemi Awolowo way, Ikeja, Lagos.

The conference which is expected to attract top activists, scholars and stakeholders in Nigeria’s election space is themed “enlightenment towards electing credible candidates in 2019”

Amukpo said “It has been said that, “Ignorance has always been the weapon of tyrants; enlightenment the salvation of the free,”* and this statement underscores the importance of the forth coming conference slated for 6th September 2018.

“In his treatise on “the theory of nations,”Pastor Chris Oyakhilome said that building Nigeria is the responsibility of Nigerians. Yes, it is your responsibility and mine. And to build a new Nigeria where justice, accountability, transparency, and good governance are culturally entrenched requires a new way of thinking which is what the forth coming conference is aimed to achieve.

“Therefore, I humbly call on every member of this movement to invite at least three people to this all important conference. My dear comrades, there is nothing we cannot achieve when when we work together. Let us get started. Let us continue our journey for positive change. Start inviting participants to the Great Enlightenment Project scheduled for 6th September 2018. Now. Aluta Continua.”
