Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra state has described the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) as the only hope for the survival of the Igbo race.
He said the party has proved a viable option for sustaining the country’s democracy through its track record of good governance in the state.
Obiano who made the assertion in Awka during the flag off of APGA campaigns for the January 13th Anambra Central Senatorial District bye-election, stressed the need for the party to make in-roads to other Igbo states.
He urged governors of other four SouthEast states to join the party or risk losing re-election,
assuring their full reception and assistance in shaping their developmental strategies for greater
impact on the lives of their people.
“The overwhelming victory the party recorded in the last governorship election in the state is a
clear signal that it is poised to take over other SouthEast States in 2019.
“It is imperative at this time in history for all the Igbo states to unite under one political
platform to pursue their common interest at the centre because there is no going back on the
emancipation of the Igbo nation,” he stressed.
