Another 257 Nigerians Return From Libya

Barely a week after 340 Nigerians were repatriated from Libya, another batch of 257 arrived the country on Thursday night. The returnees who were brought into the country aboard a chartered flight by the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

The returnees comprise of males, females and minors.

On ground to receive them were officials of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking (NAPTIP) and National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).

Others are Aviation Security (AVSEC), and officials of Port Health Services at the international wing of the airport who attended to returnees with medical issues.

No fewer than three of the returnees came back to Nigeria with medical issues. They were willed into the waiting ambulance provided by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).

Saharareporters gathered that an additional 320 would be repatriated to Nigeria next week.
